After nearly two years of technical failures, lost revenue, and being ignored, I strongly warn any small business owner against working with Versa Creative, especially for an ecommerce website. I designed my entire website myself. The branding, layout, structure, and visual direction were already complete before Versa Creative was involved. They were hired for one job only: to build a functioning ecommerce website. They failed at that job. From the start, core issues were never resolved. An alert and notification system was set up at launch, yet nearly two years later it failed when an actual order was placed. I received no email, no alert, and no system notification. I only found out because the customer contacted me directly. Because of this failure, I lost that sale and additional downstream sales totaling over $1,000. An ecommerce website that cannot reliably notify the owner of orders is fundamentally broken. The problems began as early as launch. My website was visible to the public before the official launch date, something that should never happen and shows a lack of basic launch controls. Over time, even more backend failures surfaced, including sales tax not being charged correctly and customers receiving WordPress error messages when trying to view products across multiple browsers. There was also constant staff turnover throughout the two years I worked with Versa Creative. Many of the employees I originally worked with are no longer there, resulting in repeated handoffs, zero continuity, and having to re explain the same issues over and over again. This lack of stability directly contributed to ongoing problems never being properly fixed. When I formally raised these issues and asked for accountability, the responses were dismissive and evasive. I followed up with Mary Shekari for weeks without a response. Attempting to call the office leads nowhere. You cannot speak to anyone directly and are only allowed to leave messages that often go unanswered. I am not disputing that work was performed. I am disputing the quality, reliability, and competence of that work. A company that presents itself as a professional web development firm should be able to deliver a website where checkout, order notifications, launch controls, and tax calculations actually work. In this case, they did not. This experience cost me time, money, and sales. Based on my experience, once Versa Creative is paid, accountability ends, even if your website actively loses you business.
